AUDIOMETRIC HEARING TESTS

Occupational hearing loss is the most common work-related illness in Europe. It often results from continuous exposure to noise. Hearing loss due to workplace noise often goes undetected. Noise-induced hearing loss occurs gradually, so by the time it is noticed, it may be too late.

The School of Natural and Health Sciences of Tallinn University conducts audiometric hearing tests for industry and service staff. The procedure takes about 10 minutes per person. Testing can be conducted in-house, provided that the employer has a sound-treated, not necessarily totally soundproof, room.
