For years, TLU researchers have studied curative mud resources in various parts of Estonia. We’ve determined the composition and quality of the mud resources in deposits, which forms the basis of product and service development; and created a quality assurance system of muds.

TLU researchers carried out a study on the extraction of humic substances from curative mud of Käina, Hiiumaa. The objective of the study was to develop a method for the manufacturing of cosmetic products based on humic substances extract.

TLU researchers are investigating the cosmetological potential and efficacy of lake mud in cooperation with LoondSPA. loond° is natural spa cosmetics brand developing its products together with scientists and wellness spas.

 

Turbliss

Turbliss is a manufacturer of peat based natural beauty products, that has worked out unique methods how to find, dig, analyse, and process balneological peat in order to turn it into an easy to use functional cosmetic product. TLU researchers have tested the durability of products and the bioactivity of components.

 

Berrichi

BERRICHI skincare products provide natural alternatives to over-the-counter cosmetics. After two years of research, the power of algae and super oils has formed into a range of creams. The ingredients and consistency of the products have been tested and researched thoroughly. BERRICHI was born in cooperation with scientists of Tallinn University. TLU researchers formulated product recipes and tested product efficacy.
