KEKO CLUSTER
CLUSTER ON ADAPTATION TO AND MITIGATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGE
Elle Rajandu
Lecturer of Ecology ang Bryology @ School of Natural Sciences and Health at Tallinn University
Areas of expertise:
Species diversity (marsh plants, mosses, lichens) and factors influencing it, mosses in environmental monitoring, science teaching.
Elle Rajandu (PhD in Plant Ecology 2011) has studied the species diversity of different plant communities and the factors influencing it. His recent research is mainly on bioindication - different ways of using mosses and lichens to assess environmental pollution. He has participated and is participating in educational projects and has also worked as a science teacher in primary schools for several years. A ninth interdisciplinary project (ELU) on wildlife and education is in preparation, mostly in cooperation with different schools, kindergartens, Tallinn Zoo and Botanical Garden.
