Ermo is a visiting research fellow and doctoral student at Tallinn University's Baltic Film, Media and Arts School (BFM). His main research interest is in Cinematic Virtual Reality (CVR). Understanding how users are immersed in CVR stories and what cinematographic techniques can be used will allow CVR developers to work more efficiently and effectively. For years, Ermo has been running the Creative Lab at the Centre of Excellence in Media Innovation and Digital Culture (MEDIT) at TLU where he mentors students and coordinates cooperation with external partners on novel immersive technological solutions. He also has more than 15 years of experience in television directing and producing.
